PurAmino™ Jr
Hypoallergenic, nutritionally complete*, amino-acid based powder for children ages 1+ who are experiencing severe cow’s milk protein allergy (CMPA), multiple food allergies, or other GI conditions requiring an amino acid formula. Available in both unflavored powder and vanilla powder.
In cases of severe and multiple food allergies or intolerances, PurAminoTM Jr is sometimes used long-term. Extended use of PurAminoTM Jr (or other medical foods for children) should be monitored by a healthcare professional.

PurAminoTM Jr is 30 Cal/fl oz, iron-fortified, hypoallergenic, nutritionally complete*, and designed to meet the needs of children age 1+ who are experiencing severe cow’s milk protein allergy (CMPA) or multiple food allergies not effectively managed by an extensively hydrolyzed formula. PurAmino Jr is suitable for other GI conditions requiring an elemental diet such as eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), food protein induced enterocolitis (FPIES), fat malabsorption, and/ or short bowel syndrome. Appropriate for both oral and tube feeding.

PurAmino™ Jr is designed to provide supplemental nutrition for children ages 1+, when indicated. The introduction of new foods is an important developmental as well as nutritional step for children; however, certain medical diagnoses may preclude this and require use of an amino acid product like PurAmino Jr to support the maintenance of adequate nutrition. Extended use of PurAmino Jr as a major source of nutrition should be used with medical supervision.

POWDER
Instructions for preparation and use
The medical professional will provide the correct amount of powder to mix with water for consumption. It is important to follow the directions below.
Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before preparing. Measure the correct amount of water into a suitable container for mixing. Then add the required amount of PURAMINO Jr powder. MIX WELL until blended. Consume the prepared beverage immediately or cover and refrigerate. Use within 48 hours of preparation. Mix before drinking.
If instructed to use the scoop in the can to make 30 Cal/fl oz feedings: For every 1 fl oz of water, 1 packed level scoop of powder (7.3 g) will make approximately 1.2 fl oz of prepared product. Add 5 packed, level scoops (36.5 g) of powder to 5 fl oz of water to make approximately 6 fl oz of prepared product. Add 7 packed level scoops (51.1 g) to 7 fl oz of water to make approximately 8 fl oz of prepared product. Store DRY scoop in can.
One scoop of PurAmino™ Jr powder provides 36 calories.

POWDER STORAGE
Store cans at room temperature. After opening can, keep tightly covered, store in dry area and use contents within 1 month. Store DRY scoop in can. Do not freeze powder and avoid excessive heat. This product does not look or taste like milk or soy formulas. It may separate in the refrigerator. Shake well before feeding.
